As you may have already surmised… we are, in fact, getting married at a campground.
To be fair, between Jamie’s deep love for the outdoors and my village roots, perhaps this was inevitable. Some girls dream of chandeliers and marble venues, apparently I was destined for a paddock and a communal bathroom block.
For those wanting to stay on site:
There’s space for powered tents and campervans. Facilities-wise, we’ve got you covered with:
- Men’s and women’s bathroom blocks
- A kitchen space you’re welcome to use if needed (though it will also be home base for catering and assorted wedding chaos)
- A small (and humble) dressing room with mirrors and the sort!
Now, a small but important disclaimer: this is not a polished, resort-style campground with perfectly marked little camping squares. Think less “premium glamping experience” and more “that bit looks flat enough, she’ll be right.”
In other words, embrace the Kiwi campground spirit. Bring a towel, bring jandals, and bring the ability to laugh when things get mildly feral. (I mean, it rhymes with Cheryl!)
